Cinnamon Bundles

I invented this recipe during Snomageddon.  We were running out of food and getting sick of cold cereal every morning for breakfast.  And I wasn't sure if the 5 mile trek to WalMart would have produced any better since they were continually out of 85% of their products.  So, we had a can of biscuits.  But, hubby wanted something sweet.  So, cinnamon bundles were born.

1 can biscuits (the big ones, Grands)
some butter
some sugar
some cinnamon
milk and powdered sugar for optional glaze

Preheat oven to 350.  Flatten out biscuits on baking sheet until they're about 3 inches across.  Put some butter, sugar, and cinnamon on one half.  Fold in half to make a half-circle.  Put some more butter, sugar, and cinnamon on it.  Fold in half again to make a triangle.  Top with more cinnamon and sugar.  We like ours with lots of extra cinnamon and sugar.  Bake approximately 15 minutes.  Pour glaze over top.  Yum.

I also think you could use apple pie filling or cherry pie filling instead of cinnamon to make kind of a turnover type thing.

  1. Mmm! I have a similar recipe: cut bisquits into quarters, soak in butter, roll in cinnamon and sugar, put 3-4 per muffin cup, bake per bisquit directions until done. Super sticky and delicious. Yours are prettier, though.
